Polyaspartic
floor coatings
Florida sun is hard on coatings. Polyaspartic topcoats are chosen for UV stability and a faster return to service than standard epoxy.
Polyaspartic is a type of aliphatic polyurea coating. It is often used as a topcoat over a flake or quartz floor because it resists yellowing in sunlight better than standard epoxy and cures faster, so the space is back in use sooner. It can also be used for the full system on some floors.
Best for
- Garages with the door open to the sun
- Covered patios, lanais and porches
- Pool cages and outdoor kitchens
- Projects that need a quick turnaround
- Topcoat upgrade for flake and quartz floors
Straight talk
Every system has tradeoffs. Here is what we tell customers before they choose:
- Fast cure means it has to be installed by a crew that knows it. It is not a DIY product.
- Exact cure and walk-on times depend on the product, temperature and humidity. We give you your times in writing on install day.
- Prep still matters most. A great topcoat cannot fix a poorly prepped slab.
